A pastor seeks the true way to salvation.
About 3 months ago, our iERA daee in South Africa received a surprise guest at the local masjid.
It was one of the village pastors. He was a learned fellow, who had graduated from the University of Unisa, South Africa; and had a sizeable congregation of about 300 followers.
This was however not their first time meeting. The pastor had previously attended one of iERA’s monthly da’wah events and was one of those who had asked some questions during the Q and A session.
On this day, he had come to ask more about Islam.
The iERA daee responded to the questions he had and gifted him a couple of books on Islam; including a Zulu Quran.
A few days later, the man returned to the masjid with company; his son. This time round they asked permission to enter the masjid, to which they were warmly granted by daee. Without being asked to, the man respectfully took off his shoes and asked his son to do the same. They sat down with the iERA daee and had a lengthy discussion about Islam.
From the questions and arguments he posed, the daee could tell that the man was indeed very learned; and was very pleased when the daee was able to respond to his questions much to his satisfaction.
What impressed him the most about Islam was the aspect of Tawheed; that Muslims do not worship any of the creation, rather they worship the Creator alone!
Alhamdulillah at the end of the discussion, the pastor took shahada, and could not wait to tell his followers that indeed Islam was the only way to salvation!
