He had reverted to Islam at the age of 30; but was not given sufficient Islamic knowledge to build upon by the person who gave him Dawah. Consequently, he not only converted back to christianity, but also became a pastor and built a church!
When iERA recently visited his village; our daee made dawah to him using the GORAP approach. After 3 days of contemplation, he resolved to revert back to Islam at the age of 84.
This time round, equipped with a better understanding of Tawheed; he adopted the name Ibrahim, started practising and also giving Dawah to his family. As a result of his Dawah and changed behaviour; his wife, son and daughter inlaw also took Shahada!
Ibrahim is grateful for the blessing of Islam upon him and his family, however, he is also remorseful of how far he had strayed.His major worry is the church he once built- is he sinful whenever people worship in it?
