Stone worship?

One day, a team of iERA duat encountered a man who had a remarkable story to share. After exchanging greetings and names, he told them how he had left Islam because of a misunderstanding.
“My uncle, who was not a Muslim, once asked me: Do you know what you Muslims worship? I said Yes, Allah. He said: Allah is a huge stone in Makkah. Islam is nothing but stone worship.
This shook me to the core, and I lost my faith in Islam.” He said.
The duat felt compassion for the man, and gently began to explain the true meaning of Islam to him. He had many questions about the Black Stone, and they patiently answered them all. They made it clear that Muslims do not worship the Kaaba or anything else in creation. They worship only Allah, the One who created everything, who is unlike anything we can imagine. The man was fascinated by what he heard, and his heart opened up to the truth.
“I always felt that Islam was good, except for the stone part. That was the only thing that bothered me about Islam. Everything else makes sense to me.”
And by the grace of Allah, he realised his mistake, he repented to Allah, and embraced Islam again. May Allah guide and bless him with knowledge, amin.
Many people are shying away from worshipping Allah due to misconceptions they have about Islam. Help us reach out to them with facts, by supporting our dawah work. Visit iera.org to learn more.
