His first contact with Islam was 22 years ago in prison. He was serving five years and there were a couple of Musims with him. He did not take Islam into much consideration then, but simultaneously held subtle respect for it.
After their release, his friends kept on going to the mosque, but he chose to talke time to think about ut before he could make the decision to embrace Islam.
22 years later, he met with iERA officials who invited him to come along for a New Muslim Support workshop in his village.After a patient and lucid conversation with them, he finally declared shahada on the spot. Alhamdulillah he is Muslim now after 22 years of thinking about it.
